“As a presidency, we desire that each young woman know her identity as a daughter of God. We hope that she will learn to recognize and rely on the Spirit as the guiding, comforting force in her life. Keeping her baptismal covenants will prepare her to make further covenants in the temple. We also desire that each young woman use these vital years as a time of preparation for her future roles as wife, mother, and homemaker.” Young Women General Presidency

"To help young women grow spiritually, leaders should prepare themselves spiritually. As they draw close to the Lord through prayer, scripture study, and obedience to His commandments, they are better able to bring the Spirit of the Lord into their teaching of gospel principles and their association with young women" ("Young Women," 211). Vickie, Thanks so much for your Open House today! It was fun to see all of your ideas! You have saved a lot of stuff over the years. Thanks for opening your home to us! Mindy
We want to hear from you!
What can we do to this website to make it better?
What would you like to see here?
Did this website help you? How?
Did you just have a great activity?
Did you plan something that your YW just loved?
Do you have a great object lesson from Sunday’s lesson?
You can share your ideas here for other young women leaders to use. Thousands of YW leaders come to this site each month looking for activity ideas. Your idea may be just what they are looking for! Email the idea to us - and be sure to put your name with it. LDS-YW -- firstname.lastname@example.org
How the LDS-YW files came to be: Since spending most of my adult life serving in the Young Women program I naturally acquired many ideas. I needed a place to post them so other YW leaders could use this information. The ideas on this website come from many sources - which include my own experiences, friends and family, internet, and YW email lists. I always intend to give credit where credit is due. If you gave me an idea or something on this site belongs to you, please let me know so I can credit it to you. I have hundreds and hundreds of pages and files of YW ideas that I will eventually get up on this website. Check back often to see what is new.
If you would be willing to share your Young Women ideas with me, I will post them here so other Young Women leaders can use the ideas. Everyone needs help at one time or another.
Planning and carrying out YW activities can be very rewarding and fun, and at the same time, very trying to come up with new, fresh ideas. I hope you find some new and fresh ideas here. This is the sole purpose of the files here on the LDS-YW website.
